Carjacking and bank robbery suspect Stephanie Lynn Schwab was arrested today (Wednesday, November 30) shortly after

The arrest came after police responded to bank robbery attempt at the BB&T Bank at 6220 Old Dominion Drive around 1 p.m. The suspect passed a note demanding money. When none was handed over, she fled.

An officer spotted the suspect’s vehicle, described as a blue Ford Escape, on I495 and followed it to Montgomery County, Maryland. There, it crashed into another vehicle at Old Georgetown Road. The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended by the Fairfax County officer.

Schwab had been sought in connection with the November 22 robbery of the BB&T Bank at 8432 Old Keene Mill Road, another bank robbery in Prince William County and a carjacking in the McLean area.
