An “open house†allows a prospective home buyer to explore a property inside and out without having to make an appointment. Most weekends, however, open houses can be limited to one or two in any particular neighborhood.
But Long & Foster says it will host a one-day Open House “extravaganza†on November 6. A large number of Long & Foster listings will be holding open houses on that day, allowing potential buyers to see a dozen or more homes in their areas of interest in one day.
“Long & Foster and our sales associates are committed to making the home buying and selling experience the best possible for our customers,†said Gary Scott, president, Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. “We are pleased to organize this unique opportunity to enable sellers to showcase their homes and buyers to shop for a home while interest rates are low and home prices are affordable.â€
To make it even easier for potential buyers, loan officers with Prosperity Mortgage Company will be on site at as many Long & Foster open house locations as possible to answer questions and pre-qualify interested buyers. Representatives from Long & Foster Settlement Services and Long & Foster Insurance will be on hand at many locations as well.
“This year, we’re seeing many positive dynamics in the residential real estate market,†said Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies. “These dynamics, including moderated pricing and historically-low mortgage rates, may offer some buyers and sellers in the Mid-Atlantic region historic opportunities to accomplish their homeownership goals.â€
Detwiler said the fall Open House Extravaganza gives buyers and sellers, who may be sitting on the sidelines, an opportunity to see what’s happening with the market first-hand, and explore whether now is the time for them to make a housing-related decision.
