Marshall Academy To Host Criminal Justice Public Safety Career Fair

Interested in a career in law enforcement?

Marshall Academy will host its first Criminal Justice Public Safety Career Fair, featuring professionals from local and federal agencies, on Tuesday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The fair is open to the public.

Multitude of experts

Professionals from the CIA, DEA, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Fairfax County’s McConnell Public Safety and Transportation Operations Center, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, Herndon Police Department, and representatives from the U.S. Armed Forces will provide information on careers with their respective agencies.

Also on hand will be representatives from institutions of higher learning that offer criminal justice programs, including Northern Virginia Community College, West Virginia University, Delaware State University, and Marymount University.

Students from criminal justice programs in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) will attend the fair.

Growing opportunity

Criminal justice is one of the fastest growing careers in the United States. Education for this profession ranges from a high school diploma to associate’s and bachelor’s degrees as well as advanced degrees such as a juris doctor (JD) or degree in medicine.

Marshall Academy, one of six high school academies in FCPS, specializes in International Studies and Business and Engineering and Scientific Technology.

It is located at 7731 Leesburg Pike in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County.
