Arrest Made In Annandale High Bomb Threat

Police have arrested a Burke man in connection with the bomb threat at Annandale High School this (Friday, March 3o) Morning.

Marco Antonio Verduo Toledo, 19, of 5451 Tilalary Court in Burke, is charged with felony threats to bomb and criminal trespass.

Police were called to the school, located at 4700 Medford Drive, around 4:35 AM after two calls were received reporting a bomb at the school.

Officers began an exterior search of the school grounds and school officials requested the assistance of the police department’s Explosive Ordnance Device (EOD) unit. A suspicious backpack was located outside the school near a door, but after examining it, EOD officers determined it was not a threat.

Students and staff were not allowed inside the school during the investigation, but once it was determined there was no threat, they were allowed to enter.
