Three Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) student publications have been named finalists in the National Scholastic Press Association’s (NSPA) Yearbook Pacemaker Awards competition.
- The Clan, the McLean High School yearbook, was named a Pacemaker finalist for yearbooks with 289-352 pages. Editors are Farah Albani, Caitlin Kirby, Maggie Nash, and Yasmn Pai. Meghan Percival serves as the adviser.
- Cavalier, the Woodson High School yearbook, was named a Pacemaker finalist for yearbooks with 289-352 pages. Editors are Caitlin Rider and Kristen Schumacher. Katherine Sebunia serves as the adviser.
- Sentry, the middle school yearbook for Robinson Secondary School, was named a Pacemaker finalist for junior high and middle school yearbooks. Brent Yantis is the editor; Pat Hinman serves as the adviser.
Awards are scheduled to be announced at the Journalism Education Association (JEA)-NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Seattle in April.
